Rev. Katie Murchison Ross
Katie began as Grace Presbyterian’s associate pastor in November 2018. She provides leadership to youth, education, and mission at Grace. She’s particularly energized by coming alongside people as they explore both the inner life of spirit– faith questions, practices, and up-and-down journeys — and the outer life of service–where God is calling them to love and advocate and act in the world.
While this is her first ordained call, she previously worked as a chaplain at Duke University Hospital, a pastoral intern at Chapel in the Pines Presbyterian Church and Church of the Saviour, and a youth & children’s minister at First Christian Church, Falls Church.
Katie grew up in Laurel, MD, and is a graduate of Duke Divinity School and St. Olaf College. Prior to seminary, she worked in adult literacy and lay youth/camp ministry.
Katie lives in Springfield with her husband John and two young children.
